This is a quick place to reference the process of how I typically go about working on a project, and what to expect in each project phase.

PROJECT TIMELINE

PHASE 1:

PRE-PRODUCTION

Pre Production is where we discuss your project in depth and come up with a plan for everything from writing to how the track will sound to what we’ll need to make sure your project is exactly what you want it to be.

Here’s a quick overview of everything that we’ll do in this phase:

Vision Call

  • You and I will create reference playlists for your project

  • We’ll go over the songs you’ve written and select the songs that we’ll focus on for this project

Mockups / Scratch Demo

  • We will Record / Capture a scratch version of your song in the correct key, tempo and arrangement that we are thinking for the song.

  • Then I’ll create 1-3 basic song mockups for the songs we’ve selected

PHASE 2:

PRODUCTION

This is when we start making the song and turning your vision into reality.

The goal of this phase is to take everything we dreamed up in pre-production and set it in motion. This includes things like creating the track, recording vocals, adding in the special sauce, and getting it all ready to mix.

Recording Sessions

  • We will schedule the necessary session to record vocals and other crucial instruments to the tracks

Production Revisions

  • Once the track is in a place where it’s really taking shape I will send it off to you for notes and specfic input. we want to be has happy with the song

PHASE 3:

POST-PRODUCTION

At this point, the song is pretty much done.

We’ve put together everything and officially started mixing and mastering polishing it and making sure it’s all ready for release.

There’s not much for you to do in this phase, but it goes by quickly! Here’s a quick overview of what typically happens:

Editing

  • Myself or The engineer on the project will edit the song and make sure everything is as prepared as possible and then begin the mixing process

  • Things like Vocal Tuning and instrument timing are included in this process.

Mixing

  • Once the first mix is complete to the standard of the Engineer we will send it out for revision notes and feedback.

  • We will continue the revisions cycle until the final mix is decided on or the amount of revisions has been met and then we will send it off for mastering

Mastering

  • Mastering revisions (usually there aren’t any revisions at this point, but it’s included just in case!)

    Sign off for release!

PHASE 4:
POST-PROJECT

Once your song is all finished, we’ll get everything ready for release!

myself or one of my team members will also help out in this phase to make sure all the administrative things are taken care of. Here’s a quick overview of what we’ll be going over:

Release Strat Call

  • We’ll overview the final release prep. This includes making content about the song, going over a marketing checklist, and setting a release date and strategy

  • We’ll hop on a call to discuss branding, marketing, engagement, monetization, distribution and

Post-Release Review Call

  • After release, you and I will meet again to discuss performance, review the project, and create a plan for growth.
